History and Meaning
53 meters long, it connects Corso Vittorio Emanuele to Via Ospedale dei Pellegrini. Built in 1899 by the Abbate & d'Ambra company and inaugurated with the aim of facilitating the passage of carriages heading to the theater and providing quick access to the vestibule, the structure has undergone various transformations over time. In the post-World War II period, it was converted into a proper commercial arcade, hosting various businesses including a perfumery and a newsagent. In the 1970s, it was dedicated to the memory of the Gallo musician brothers. Today, it is mainly used for temporary events and exhibitions, but it is not continuously open to the public.
