The National Archaeological Museum of Canosa is housed in a 19th-century building, Palazzo Sinesi, located in the city center and made available by the Canosan Archaeological Foundation since 1994. Canosa is one of the towns in Apulia richest in evidence of the past. Occupied since the Bronze Age, it became, together with Arpi, one of the most important centers of Daunia.
